I havent updated since last year. I'm such a slacker... :/

Anyway, AB2011 went well! No panels this year. Which I did miss, but with how busy i was this year, i'm glad i didn't have to leave the table. I started using Square to accept credit cards via my iPhone and DAAAYUM does it work awesome! I actually BROKE the swiper from overuse! However, my brand new Canon PIXMA 9000Pro Mark II also broke. Ink went everywhere... It stained the sh!t outta my hands. I looked like I strangled Rainbow Brite to death. Hopefully I can get this thing all cleaned out and ready before PortConMaine in June.

I wish I had more new stuff... my new job is keeping me extremely busy and I'm have trouble finding the time for artwork nowadays. But, now that AB is over, I should be able to start focusing more on new artwork and the manga. I'm planning on doing more Fairy Tail, Black Butler and Deadman Wonderland stuff.

Speaking of the manga, Ængel Conspriacy is back on track and I have a couple writers collaborating with me on it. I'm still looking for a background artist and a colorist/tone artist. The webcomic is off and on at the moment. I'm constantly changing the premise... I wish I could make up my damn mind. >:X

I'll be updating the galleries and the tutorial sections soon.

FINALLY! AB2010 is done! 0__0 I definitely need a break from AB related artwork for a while. But seeing my artwork 18 feet tall is pretty damn cool too.

I've got some work of my own planned and i still need to work on the Ninja Studios Online Store (which needs A LOT of work ;__; ) and I will be making some changes to the website too. Like a wallpaper gallery and commission info/pricing.Not to mention the new Vote section! Each month i'll do the highest voted character / series on the list. There'll be forum thread opening on it soon. Also, Tutorials are on thier way for Paint Tool SAI and Photoshop. Videos and manuals.

Big thanks to everyone who came to my table at AB! You guys are always awesome. I sold out of a lot of posters and oversize prints this year. But i'll have more when the store goes up.

My "Forgetting Photoshop" panel was Epic Fail. ;__; But I think the 9 people that DID show up, really liked what I taught! >:/ Oh well... cant say I blame you guys. The panel was moved 3 times and it ended up on sunday during the Nobou Uematsu autograph session. Bleh...

Anywho... PortConMaine is comin up soon!! See you in a couple months!

1.) Destroy the script for that god awful movie. Had very few chuckles in it...

2.) Get more AB stuff done.

This week is total stress-out time. I dont have everything i wanted done yet, and i cant order anything more without costing me an arm and a leg. ;__; Nice bizcards will have to wait until Portcon. I've also put myself on a video game "diet" so i actually GET my stuff done. Which is hard because all the good games come out within a month of AB 2010. Total conspiracy, I tell ya.

Oh well... I'll have SOME new stuff for AB and more will be available on the site after the con. The store should be up for Portcon in June. Maybe...

Anime Boston is Approaching...

Not much time left before Anime Boston!! Mike and I are working on finishing the first ever Anime Boston statuettes based on this year's themed mascots. Unfortunately, there wont be many for sale, simply because they will be a single-run, limited edition, 2010 con-only dealy-ma-bob. We'll have 10 pairs of figures for sale: 10 painted A-Chan and B-Kun, and 10 unfinished garage kits. Not sure how much they'll be selling for. We'll be updating with pics soon.

All of my stuff for AB is done! So, big sigh of relief there. But i was pretty excited when i found out that my work was on the "T" via the Red Line in Boston! Check it out:

Anyway... the new job in Boston is going well, and it looks like we'll be moving to Quincy in July sometime. (Yeah Mikey's coming with :p )

The new Ninja Studios store is being worked on and should be done before AB. Mostly prints at first, but we'll have more masks, figures, posters and commission quotes availble as well. I've got a ton of my own artwork to be doing, so i'd better get crackin. COMING SOON: New Kiba, Shikamaru, and Lightning from FFXIII!!

What Happened to the Updates?!?

Ugh...

So much stuff going on. I keep forgetting to update new stuff on here. I guess i'm just a sucker for routine. I still update my deviantART constantly, but nuffin on here. Gotta change that. :/

Anyway, i'm starting a new job in Boston! So, i'll have a 4 hour commute each day via the bus. But it has intarwebz and stuff for laptops, so i'm gonna start doing more work while i'm trekking to work each day. Fun fun fun.

As far as artwork is concerned:

Anime Boston is coming up! April 2-4 BE THERE!! Mike and I have a bunch of stuff planned for the con. He's working on full size 1:8 figures for the convention! They're coming out awesome... I (should) have a 2hr panel called "Forgetting Photoshop", which is all about some of the alternative programs out there like Paint Tool SAI, Painter, Manga Studio, and etc.

I'm gonna try and work on some of the tutorials soon. Need to get my a$$ in gear and do that. People keep asking about em. I'll probably start at the very beginning on how to sketch in SAI. (i'm using it more and more these days intead of PS)

More artwork and photos coming!

PortConMaine '09 Report 'n' stuff...

First off... Yay PORTCON!! My favorite con to go to. (sorry AB.) it's my "home" con and i've made quite a few friends with the staff and etc. Didn't sell as much as i'd like, but i sold out of a few things like Tune In and Kiba (again...). The posters dont seem to move, so they may end up being an Online only type of thing. Mike sold a couple masks, got some commissions, and is working on a Sweet Tooth (from Twisted Metal games) mask. Super creepy. I hate clowns...

My photoshop panel with Tom Brown went really well. It ended up being more than 2 hours and a lot of people participated in the Q&A during the con. I also think there is a need for more panels on different programs, like Manga Studio and Painter. I'm also going to be talking to Wacom about possible sponsoring at conventions. That way i could make these awesome tablets available for use and purchase for con goers. Just a thought.

I'm going to be making some online tutorial videos for Photoshop soon. I'll be busy for the next week-ish, but i'm aiming for July to start recording and editing the videos. Also, i'll be offering private online tutoring over Skype and Opencanvas for those interested. Time and price are still being worked out. Same for the Online Store. I need to take a look at having Paypal as my shopping cart...

Anywho... new work should be up soon. Some old, some new. I'll be uploading manga and webcomic stuff soon too. See? Now that the new site is up, I actually UPDATE!! :X Shocking... i know.

New Website BANZAI!!

BOOOYAAAH!! New website!

It took me a while because I really dont like webcoding. So, i found this nifty place called "Squarespace". If you're in the mood for a site and dont like the hassle of building your own from scratch, SquareSpace is for you. Seriously... check em out.

Okey dokey, on to the updates:

AnimeBoston 2009 went without any major hitches or glitches! Mikey and I did pretty well, he sold out of most of his masks, and only had about 3 left. I sold out of a few things, like the new "Tune In" and my Kiba pic. I donated a framed poster version of Tune In to the Charity Auction and it went for a pretty penny! Big hugs to whoever spent around $100 for it. :D I got to hang out a bit with Greg and Chris Aryes from ADV and got to see some people i've been missing dearly. All in all, a great con. (Even though Hynes Security had a large spiked nightstuck up it's rent-a-cop ass the entire time.)

PortConMaine 2009 is right around the bend! I'll be there with Mike from Thursday night all the way to Sunday. Aaaah... my favorite con of the year: Small, close to home, awesome staff, great programming... love it. I'll be doing a panel with Tom Brown from CopperAge Studios called Photoshop Tips and Tricks on Saturday from 3-5. He'll be talking about the conversion and application of traditional media. My bit will be on layer usage, custom brushes (Do's and Dont's), and some other nifty things. We'll be doing Q&A during and after each section. So, come say hi! We'll be in the Artist Alley.

New Artwork is coming, eventually... Mikey is working on a Kerrigan figure from Starcraft and some mini busts to mass produce and sell here on the site along with a couple new masks. I have a ton of sketches and WIPs to finish. I'm still shooting for Xmas to have the artbook done. I'll be self-publishing, so it'll be all outta pocket. *bleh*

More as it develops...
